Richard DeGroat

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. DeGroat is the Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Horizons Land Investment Corp. and a director of the General Partnership. Richard has over 28 years experience in real estate law, solvency, investment, finance and real estate industries. Mr. DeGroat is currently an advisor to a merchant banking organization which acquires active equity positions as principal in high growth private and public companies.

Gordon Cameron

President

Mr. Cameron is President of Canadian Horizons Development Group and leads our British Columbia land acquisition team. Gordon has been involved in real estate development in western Canada for 30 years. For 10 years he was Vice President of Development for a TSX listed real estate company based in Vancouver and is the past President of his own venture company offering real estate acquisition, development, marketing and feasibility analysis expertise to selected clientele. Mr. Cameron is a past Director of the Urban Development Institute and the Canadian Home Builders Association.

Nathan Hildebrand

Vice President, Development

Mr. Hildebrand is the Vice President, Development with Canadian Horizons Development Group.  He is an effective real estate professional with over seven years of  private sector experience in commercial  and residential land development and municipal approvals throughout Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Okanagan.  Prior to working in the private sector, he applied his educational background as a professional Planner with the City of Surrey and the City of Abbotsford.  His educational and employment experiences have enabled him unique perspective on identifying strategic land development opportunities.  At Canadian Horizons, he is responsible for identifying new land development opportunities as well as achieving municipal approvals in the Fraser Valley and Okanagan.  His broad experience makes him effective at fostering existing and creating new relationships with clients, developers, landowners and municipal approving authorities.

Philip Selbee

Manager of Construction

Mr. Selbee is the Manager of Construction with the Canadian Horizons Development Group. With over 30 years’ experience in the residential and commercial construction industry, Philip has led both Gold LEED and Care Award projects. Philip has an extensive background in a full range of construction services, including estimating, project management, human resource and property management and project cost analysis, as well as mortgage inspections for private investment banks. This broad experience supports Canadian Horizons’ development projects.

Katy Chiu

Controller

As Controller at Canadian Horizons, Ms. Chiu is responsible for all areas of accounting, financial reporting, tax reporting and budgeting.  Prior to joining the Canadian Horizons team, Ms. Chiu worked in public practice for six years, providing accounting, assurance and tax services to individuals and private corporations in a variety of industries, including real estate, manufacturing, wholesale and not-for-profit organizations.  Ms. Chiu graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in 2010 and obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2013.

Tricia Koo

Assistant Controller

As Assistant Controller at Canadian Horizons, Ms. Koo is responsible for all areas of accounting, financial reporting, tax reporting and budgeting.  Prior to joining the Canadian Horizons team, Ms. Koo worked in the real estate industry for two years as well as public practice for six years, providing accounting, assurance and tax services to individuals and private enterprises in a wide range of industries.  Ms. Koo graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Co-op Program) in 2011 and obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2015.
